Background
Care Laos is a non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of people with disabilities in Laos. One of their key programs is called “Your Life, Your Choice,” CARE believes that access to quality sexual and reproductive health is both a fundamental human right and a critical development issue. SRHR is a vital component of CARE’s work to reduce poverty and social injustice. Improvements in SRHR are linked to economic and social development and must be addressed to achieve sustainable reductions in poverty.
However, there are many barriers to accessing SRHR services, including gender inequality, policy barriers, and power imbalances. CARE works to address these barriers through a variety of programs and interventions.
Challenge
Care Laos needed to create a new look for their “Your Life, Your Choice” program. They wanted a branding that was both modern and accessible, and that would resonate with people with disabilities and their families.
Solution
Siqnature was approached by GMBFilm to help Care Laos with their branding. Siqnature worked closely with GMBFilm to understand their needs and goals. We then developed a branding that was both visually appealing and meaningful.
The logo for the “Your Life, Your Choice” program features a stylized Dok Champa flower. The Dok Champa is the national flower of Laos, and it is often associated with beauty, purity, and new beginnings. The flower is also a symbol of hope and resilience, which are important themes for the “Your Life, Your Choice” program.
The new branding features a bold color palette and simple, yet impactful graphics. The tagline, “Your Life, Your Choice,” is prominently displayed on all materials. The branding is also accessible to people with disabilities, using large fonts and clear language.
Results
The new branding has been a huge success for Care Laos. It has helped to raise awareness of the “Your Life, Your Choice” program and has encouraged more people with disabilities to get involved. The branding has also been praised by people with disabilities and their families, who appreciate its accessibility and positive message.
